TEAM NOTES: 2021 WEEK 1
Week 1 is underway and we got our first taste of real football on Thursday night and it has us clamoring for more. Below, you’ll see the first regular season edition of Team Notes. Injuries and news reports have made changes for the teams playing Sunday and Monday. Thursday night’s game was taken into account as well, and it didn’t help either team.
In the sixth edition of “Team Notes” we are updating this season’s NFL Betting Tier List. It will function similarly to the traditional “Power Rankings” concept and will group teams based on how dangerous they are and how confident we would feel betting on them in any individual game. The changes from last week are the result of the latest news surrounding each team.
Latest updates on the NFL Betting Tier List:
- Tampa Bay was downgraded after a sloppy performance on Thursday night. They barely won against a significantly inferior opponent.
- The Cowboys. Also get downgraded for showing the same weaknesses on defense they had last year.
- New Orleans acquired CB Bradley Roby in a trade with the Texans to add a starting-caliber defensive back to their team.
- Baltimore has now lost RBs J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, and Gus Edwards as well as CB Marcus Peters for the year due to injuries.
